COMPETE FOR YOUR SEAT

On 21st May, 17 Year 8 students spent the day at Surrey University competing for their seats in a series of political debate workshops designed to introduce students to politics. This involved them creating their own political party and writing their own manifesto which focused on key values and beliefs. 

Students spent the day with the university students and received tours of the campus which provided them with key information about the career opportunities available to help them when choosing GCSE and post-16 options.

This was a great opportunity for students to broaden their understanding of university life.
