Last month the students were short listed for an interview where they presented their passion for sport with confidence and sincerity. All of the selected students have been greatly involved with sport in and outside of school - the PE department thank them for their commitment to sport throughout their last four years at Sunbury Manor. Their new role will include chairing the new Sports’ Council 2022. - Mrs Keith, Head of PE is extremely excited and looking forward to working with this enthusiastic team of students. Posted on: 17/12/2021Spelthorne Youth Awards 2021 Alvin Ogwu, Year 11 Organised by Spelthorne Borough Council, the Spelthorne Youth Awards recognise the outstanding talents and achievements of local young people and the contributions they make to their communities. Many congratulations to Chukwudubem Ogwu in Year 11 who was the Academic Achievement Winner and also Star Award Winner. Chukwudubem was sent a certificate of achievement signed by the Mayor, Cllr Ian Harvey, delivered with a goodie bag before the event, a glass trophy and £40 prize! It was a beautiful event and the icing on the cake is that Alvin won the star award for academic achievement. Such wonderful news, we are so proud of his achievement and would like to thank you for the nomination and for all the support he has received from you and all his teachers since he joined last year.
