Community

We are justifiably proud to be regarded as a community school and our students learn the importance of their responsibilities as a citizen on a local, national and global level.

Every year students and staff support a wide variety of charities, locally, nationally and internationally, for causes that are close to their hearts. This takes the form of fund raising events (sponsored sports, mufti days, cake making, car washes, etc.) and also giving up their time to go and support local groups.

Locally, students have supported the ReStore Project, run from St Saviours Church in Sunbury, providing items for food hampers through the year, and at Christmas providing Christmas Hampers to be given to local families in need.

We never cease to be amazed by the generosity and compassion of our students, both with their time and money. Often, suggestions for causes to be supported come directly from the students themselves, showing an awareness of their need to be involved. Information about the charities is shared with them through assemblies, sometimes with visiting speakers, so that they know exactly where the money is going and why it is important to support such worthy causes.
