Posted on: 27/05/2021Spelthorne Mental Health Support TeamSunbury Manor are excited to announce that we have been chosen by Surrey and Borders NHS Partnership Trust (SABP) to work with their new Mental Health Support Teams (MHST) in schools. The MHST will provide early intervention for children and young people, with mild to moderate mental health and emotional wellbeing difficulties. They will also work closely with our staff and students to support a whole school approach to mental health. More details will follow in the coming weeks, but we are excited to meet the team and we are sure that you will make them feel very welcome! The pandemic has already impacted upon some of work the MHST were planning to begin, however they are now coming for visits and getting to know the school, so you might have the opportunity to say ‘hello’. The team will be sending out surveys in the next couple of weeks to parents, staff and students so we have the opportunity to have our say in how the service is developed and delivered in Sunbury Manor. In the meantime, the team are working on resources that might help you to support your child(ren)s mental health at this challenging time, so watch this space as these will be sent out in the coming weeks!

However, please take time to have a look through the many students who were awarded these incredible accolades. We are so proud of every single one of them, from the Year 7s through to Year 11s who are getting ready for their next chapter. All the students have received their certificates and should feel a real sense of pride at what they have achieved. They are a real credit to their families and an asset to the school. A huge well done and congratulations to all the students for their incredible achievements. Keep up the amazing work!
