CAREERS: Year 11 Florist Talk

On Monday 20th January, the owners of Daisy Chain Florist in Shepperton returned to school to deliver a talk to a small group of Year 11 students who had expressed an interest in the profession.

Students learnt about the different pathways into the industry, the essential and desirable qualities of a florist and where the career can take you e.g. other parts of the country and around the world for different events, such as, the Chelsea Flower Show.

Students also heard about the value of work experience in this industry and watched a demonstration of a hand tie, one of the essential skills needed as a florist.
