CAREERS: Year 10 Sky Broadcast

On Wednesday 5th February, twenty Year 10 students participated in a Broadcast and Content Workshop. We were extremely lucky to have the Head of Audience Development and Content at Sky Sports & News visit the school to deliver this workshop.

Students worked in groups of 4 where they were each presented with one of Sky’s current problems. They had to work as a team to create an idea and strategy that would solve this problem. They then presented their idea to the rest of the room. The students were so engaged and came up with some amazing ideas that really impressed the Head of Audience Development.

This workshop was a brilliant opportunity for students to work on their problem solving, communication, team work and presentation skills. The Year 10s’ ideas were so good that the Head of Audience Development is currently arranging for them to visit Sky to present their ideas to a panel of producers!  Watch this space!
