The Great House Basketball Competition

At the start of this term we had our first major house sport competition.  The basketball contest took place every lunchtime for two weeks.  Each year group put forward a girls’ team and a boys’ team for each House.  The games were played in the Sports Hall in front of a packed cheering crowd.  The KS3 games were umpired by the Year 11 Sports Captains and then the PE department umpired the KS4 games.  The Year 11 House and Sports Captains did an amazing job helping to organise and run the event.  The atmosphere in the hall was so exciting every day and the teams and the crowd thoroughly enjoyed themselves. 

Curie, Attenborough and Mozart won 1 lunchtime each, but it was Lovelace House that dominated the competition winning 7 lunchtimes in total.  Huge congratulations to Lovelace!
