How can we start this new year happier? Things have certainly not been easy over the last year, and we are still in difficult and uncertain times. The best way to try to handle our difficult emotions and experiences is by focusing on what we can control. This month, we're encouraging everyone to focus on small steps to try to boost happiness - for ourselves and others around us - to spread kindness and hopefully inspire others to do the same. 

We took inspiration from the ‘Action for Happiness’ organisation—schools have been using their happiness calendar app to create their very own ‘Action for Happiness Calendar’.  The Sunbury Manor School Action for Happiness Calendar, aims to give students small activities to follow and tick off through this tough home learning time. Each activity is designed to make them POSITIVE, HAPPY, ACTIVE and refocus on the good around them.

It is extremely important to us that our young people still find time to exercise, smile and laugh in these challenging times.
