WICKED

On 22nd January, 36 students from Years 9, 10 and 11 had the fantastic opportunity to visit the Apollo Victoria Theatre in London to see the amazing musical 'Wicked'. The story is a tale of friendship, identity, acceptance, integrity, self-esteem, peer pressure, victimisation, rumour and propaganda - all against the backdrop of that famous story from Oz!  The students were enthralled, not just by the songs and the story line, but also by the sheer spectacle on stage: such as the lighting, scenery and costumes.

As musical theatre is part of the GCSE music course, and more so from September, it was a good opportunity for the students to engage in all aspects of the creative arts. It was a thoroughly enjoyable evening!
