CROSS COUNTRY SUCCESS

A harsh and bleak Thursday morning accompanied Sunbury Manor to this year’s Cross Country competition at Laleham Park, but Sunbury students refused to let this dampen their spirits and were keen to get stuck into the competition. A total of 80 students represented the school and did so proudly. Not only did Sunbury Manor School achieve second place within the overall standings, there were many standout performances from all year groups.

Starting the day off were the year 11 teams who were led by Micheal Cottrill and Katy Chapman who came first and third in their respected events. For the lower school teams, standout performances came from; Louie Muldowney (Year 9); Mia Baker (Year 8); George Mead (Year 8); Stanley Barrett (Year 8); Harrison Wise (Year 7); Taylan Harris (Year 7) and Chanel Lovelock (Year 7) who all achieved a top 10 performance medal.

Well done to all those involved.
