Wimbledon BBGs Trial
From the first trial back in September when 95 eager students arrived to take part in the Wimbledon Ball Boy and Girl selection process to the final 8. A huge congratulations to the students below who have been nominated for the Wimbledon trials this year:
Year 9: Edward Barrett and Ava Warren. Reserve: Savannah Dutton
Year 10: Yannick Bamba, Joel Brewer, Rebekah Cloake, Emma Ireland, Lilly Maddox and Grace Turner. Reserve: Jessica Cloake
They have worked incredibly hard since the end of September. They have their trial on Saturday 15th January so will continue to train every week in the hope of being accepted into the Wimbledon BBGs training programme.
Commiserations to Liv Robinson, Stephanie Leigh, Oliver Pearce, Noah Light, Lola Underwood, Cerys Castell, George Peaty and Sid Woolmore. These students have also worked so hard and just missed out on being selected for a trial. We are very proud of all these students for their resilience and hard work.
Thank you to 2021 Wimbledon BBGs - Year 11, Chanel Lovelock, Lola Fisher and ex students, Syed Arez, Stanley Barrett and Rory Edwards who have been helping with the Wimbledon training every Friday. They have been invited to trial for the 2022 championships next year.
