Spanish at Springfield

On 29th September, as part of our celebrations for the European Day of Languages, a class of Year 9 students had the opportunity to teach some Spanish to primary pupils.

Prior to the visit, the students worked in groups and prepared a lesson introducing the basic greetings and saying ‘how are you’. On the day itself we walked to Springfield School, for some, a trip down memory lane as they had attended there when younger.  On arrival, the groups of students  went to different classes to teach Years 3, 4, 5 or 6.  Both the Sunbury Manor students and the Springfield pupils really enjoyed the experience and took a lot from it.

The Sunbury Manor students really represented the school well and were excellent role models for the younger children. Congratulations! ¡Enhorabuena!
