MATHS WORKSHOPS

On 13th November, Sunbury Manor School welcomed representatives of Explore Learning who kindly ran two workshops with some of our Year 7 & 8 students. With a key focus on problem solving and teamwork, the activities challenged the students to apply their logic and reasoning in a way not explored within our normal maths lessons. The students worked through an optimisation problem - a concept not usually introduced until A-Level - in an accessible and fun way.

The students commented that the session was 'fun', 'different' and 'interesting'.

Several of the students will now go forward to represent Sunbury Manor School in upcoming Explore Learning competitions. Watch this space!
