Duke of Edinburgh Award
On Friday 10th October, a group of dedicated Year 10 and Year 11 students were honoured at the Spelthorne Council Chamber as they received their Bronze and Silver Duke of Edinburgh Awards. This prestigious recognition marks the culmination of months of hard work, commitment, and personal growth.
The Duke of Edinburgh Award is one of the UK’s most respected youth achievement programmes. It challenges young people to develop skills for life and work, build resilience, and make a positive impact in their communities. To earn their awards, students undertook volunteering, physical activities, skill development, and completed a demanding expedition — all requiring perseverance, teamwork, and determination.
Receiving a Bronze or Silver Award is no small feat. We are incredibly proud of all those who took part and commend them for their outstanding efforts.
