Primary to Secondary Transition (Year 6 to 7)
All primary to secondary applications are co-ordinated by your Local Authority and the school are unable to supply the application form to parents.

In Year Admissions
In year admissions for years 7 to 11 are co-ordinated by the school and your completed application form should be sent to Anne- Marie Hamlet, Admissions Officer, at the school address.
Please ensure ALL sections are completed and once this has been received you will be contacted by our admissions officer to discuss your application.
If we are able to offer a place within our school you will be invited in for a meeting and a tour of the school.

Looked After Children
In accordance with Surrey's protocol for applications from children in care, all in-year applications for Surrey schools for children in care should be completed by the child's social worker and returned directly to Surrey Admissions.
Right of Appeal
If the applicant does not receive the offer of a place at the School there is a right of appeal to the Independent Appeal Committee details of which can be obtained from the School or the Surrey County Council Appeals Service - School admission appeals - Surrey County Council (surreycc.gov.uk)
Waiting Lists
Should a place become available whilst your child’s name is on an In-Year waiting list, your application will be ranked using our over-subscription criteria within our Admissions Criteria, alongside any other applicants on the waiting list at that time. Should your application be the highest ranking against our criteria, an offer of a place will be made to you in writing.
Waiting lists will be dissolved on 31st August 2025 and you would need to re-apply for a place in the next academic year.
Appeals
If you have applied for and been refused a place at this school you have the right to appeal under the School Standards & Framework Act 1998.

NB: Appeals will not start being heard until after the relevant closing date has passed.
Appeals lodged after these dates will be heard within 40 school days of the appeal deadline or 30 school days of being lodged, whichever is the later date.
Appellants will be sent notification of their appeal hearing at least 10 clear school days in advance of the hearing. Appellants will be sent a copy of the school's case 7 clear working days in advance of the hearing.
Appellants must ensure that any further evidence not included with their initial appeal, is received by 5pm on the day notified in the letter with details of the hearing. Any additional evidence or information received after this date might not be considered at the appeal hearing.
In year or immediate entry appeals
Appeals resulting from in year admission applications will be heard within 30 school days of the appeal being lodged.
Appellants will be sent notification of their appeal hearing at least 10 clear school days in advance of the hearing.
Appellants will be sent a copy of the school's case 7 clear working days in advance of the hearing.
If an appellant wishes to submit further evidence which was not included with their initial appeal, they must make sure that it is received no later than 5pm on the day preceding three clear working days prior to the appeal hearing date.

Admissions for September 2026 primary to secondary transfer are managed by Surrey County Council and not by the school.

KEY DATES
- 31st October 2025 - Closing date for secondary school applications
- 31st December 2025 - Closing date for Supplementary Information Forms to be returned to Sunbury Manor School
- 3rd March 2026- Secondary school place offers issued
- By 17th March 2026 - Parents must confirm or refuse secondary school place offer
- After 17th March 2026 - Surrey School Admissions will process late applications received and issue letter of their outcome during the Summer term
- 31st March 2026 - All appeals to be lodged before this date
- 18th June 2024 - All appeals to be heard by this date

Late Applications
Applications received after the Surrey’s published closing date will be deemed as late applications and will only be considered after all those applications received by the published closing date.
