STEM EVENT: Space competition

For this competition students were invited to produce and submit a piece of work related to Space.  They could create their work in any way they wished; it was completely up to them and their imagination!

The entries  were amazing, with many being art based or project work. The winner in this category was Zoe Lewis with her “That’s one small step” entry.

In addition, we had some really unusual ideas, such as: a 3D printed model of a foot print on the moon and a solar system cake.  Charlotte George’s entry won this category with her hand-made model of space walking astronauts on the moon (creatively made with pipe cleaners).

However, our overall winner was  Megan Neall’s scratch project informing us of the role different animals played in space history.

Congratulations to the winners.  All the students who entered will be going to a star gazing evening in March.
