YEAR 11 LONDON DOCKLANDS

As a compulsory fieldwork element of the Geography GCSE, our students set out for the day to visit The London Dockland’s Museum.  Despite having to endure the harsh end of what Mother Nature could throw at them, the students experienced a memorable trip.

Our day started with a train journey from Sunbury to Waterloo, then the tube to Canary Wharf, followed by a lovely walk through the Canary Wharf shopping centre.  Once we arrived at The London Dockland’s Museum the students were able to immerse themselves into the fascinating history of the Dockland area, as they literally walked through history.  Their day was completed by a guided tour around the area, identifying key examples of regeneration.
