BEBRAS CHALLENGE

Congratulation to all of our students who recently took part in the Bebras Challenge.  This is an annual competition that aims to raise awareness of Computer Science.  The competition includes solving problems and using computational thinking skills. Computational thinking involves using a set of problem-solving skills and techniques that software engineers use to write programs and apps.

A special well done to Max Hull in Year 11 and Charley Bayne in Year 7 for achieving the ‘Best in School’ award (Max in the Senior Category and Charley in the Juniors Category) both achieving 151 points.

Students with a top 10% score for their age range are invited to The Oxford Computing Challenge.  Hosted by Oxford University, this invitation only event contains a new set of problems to challenge our students further.

Congratulations to all the students below, who achieved a top 10% score for their age range and will soon be receiving their invitation to The Oxford Computing Challenge:  Daniel Trindade, Eliza Rajput, Ruby Meadows, Amelia Joseph-Berry, Charley Bayne, Tillie Welsh, Phoenix Pennock, Michael Connolly, Ashton Froude, Jonny Smith, Rebekah Cloake, Aaron Crowder, Ewan Skelley, Amelia Riches, Sam West, Mason Griffiths, James Pyle, Arnav Sinha, Auren Downie-Fidura and Max Hull.
