Chris Burch (Parent Governor and Link Governor for ICT/Computing and Technology)

Chris is a parent governor who joined the Governing Body in March 2012 with a special interest in all things IT related.

Chiara Crichard (Clerk and Company Secretary)

Chiara is a qualified Solicitor. After a career break to bring up her 3 children, Chiara joined Sunbury Manor in 2012 as an Exam Invigilator and Library Assistant; she became Clerk to the Governors in September 2014.

Allan Cottle (Staff Governor)

Allan is a Deputy Headteacher at Sunbury Manor. He joined the school straight from University in 1998 as a teacher of Geography. Since then he has undertaken a wide range of leadership and management responsibilities across the school. He has also worked in an 11-18 school in Hounslow. Allan’s main responsibilities at the current time is managing academy finance, school expansion and business matters.

Louise Duncan (Headteacher)

Louise became Headteacher in September 2001. Her son Ben is a student at the school, as was her son Chris.

David Evans (Link Governor for Humanities)

David joined the Governing Body in May 2013 following his retirement from a busy and successful career in Human Resources and Management. As well as his wealth of business knowledge David has a keen interest in education and giving the ‘next generation’ the best possible start in life.

Carol Fagan (Staff Governor)

Carol is our Inclusion Manager and also our Child Protection Officer. Carol deals with our most vulnerable students and families, often in very difficult circumstances. Carol ensures that staff and governors are up to date with Child Protection Training and Safeguarding.

Sandra Flint (Link Governor for Attendance and Performing Arts)

Sandra joined the Governing Body some 13 years ago as a parent governor when her children Rachael and Andrew attended the school. Sandra lives and works locally for her family’s firm and is now enjoying being a Granny.

Emily Flippance (Parent Governor and Link Govenor for MFL)

Emily is a parent governor who joined the Governing Body in December 2014. Emily works as part of a Technology Leadership team in the Telecoms Industry.

Louise Hirst (Chair, Child Protection & Link Governor for English & SEN)

Louise spent 25 years teaching in the Special Education Sector. She has been a governor at Sunbury Manor since 1990, mostly as Chair. Louise lives locally and both her and her husband Andrew were brought up in Spelthorne clocking up some 100 years of residency! They have previously been Mayor and Mayoress of Spelthorne.

Debby Johnson (Staff Governor and Link Governor for Training)

Debby joined the Governing Body in July 2011 as a staff governor. Debby has been teaching Science at Sunbury Manor since 2008 and is Head of Biology.

Penny Jones (Link Governor for PE and Children in Care)

Penny has been a governor since 1996.  She lives locally and works in Children’s Social Services. Penny received an MBE for her years of foster care.

Margi Lamey (Vice Chair & Link Governor for Science)

Margi joined the Governing Body in 2010. Margi was Head of 6th Form at St George’s College and a physicist of many years teaching experience. Margi previously worked for the Civil Service as a Scientific Officer. She has also been an ISI School Inspector.

Mark McCartney (Link Governor for Science)

Mark joined the Governing Body in July 2017. He is a Chartered Engineer and works as a Project Manager for an Engineering and Technical Services Company.

Chris Webber (Parent Governor and Link Governor for Maths)

Chris is a parent governor and joined the Governing Body in September 2016. Chris is a Bank Manager.
