FABULOUS FLOWERS - Matt Wilkins

In Food Technology, Year 11 students were asked to produce a practical piece of work, which had to be creative, highly skilled and the focus had to be on presentation. This was a practice for their skills based controlled assessment, which starts on 1st November. Students could choose savoury or sweet as long as it met the criteria.

Matt decided to create a pizza bouquet derived from pure inspiration. It had chorizo and pepperoni rolled to form roses, baked in muffin tins and skewers held them in place; sage leaves were added for a finishing touch.
