A LITTLE BIT OF SPAIN COMES TO SMS!

From 24th September to 12th October, Sunbury Manor played host to thirteen Spanish students, as they became part of our school community for three weeks. They stayed with local families, many with pupils at Sunbury Manor. In school, they were ‘buddied up’ with our Year 10 students and attended most of their lessons with them. They were also welcomed into some Year 11 lessons and sometimes helped with KS3 classes.

The whole group had a great time here and made great friendships along the way. After school each day there was some kind of activity for them, including music, cooking and drama workshops given by Sunbury Manor staff. Our Spanish visitors, together with many of our students, enjoyed excursions to London and Brighton, where they created many memories which will stay with them forever.

We all loved having the group with us and everyone enjoyed the cultural experience.

¡Viva España!
