THE MAYOR'S CUP AWARD

Over the half term beak the Interact club attended the North Surrey awards ceremony at the Royal Holloway University. The Interact Club were nominated for the Young Volunteer team award. The Interact Club won this category and were awarded the Mayor's cup. The Interact Club students had a great time meeting the mayor and enjoyed being interviewed by the students from the Royal Holloway University news team.  This was a great reward for all the hard work the Interact Club have put into helping others and improving local situations and projects.

"It was a great shock winning the Mayor's Cup and I felt proud of all involved in Interact and the work we are doing. To receive this, it really made me feel all the work, time and efforts are worth it. I thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience and loved the Royal Holloway- it was absolutely stunning. Meeting the mayor was quite nerve-racking but it was great fun, she was lovely and made us feel very comfortable. The other mayor was also very nice and he even had a few pictures with us at the end of the night. One day I hope to return to the Royal Holloway as it was a beautiful, friendly environment."
