AIRCRAFT ENGINEER CAREERS TALK

On Thursday 12th March, ex-student Baxter Priestly visited the school to speak to 80 Year 7 students about his career. Baxter told students how he went to cadets when he was their age which inspired him to want to work in the air force. Baxter got an apprenticeship with British Airways and soon became a Long-Haul Casualty Aircraft Engineer. Baxter explained that this means he travels the world, visiting different countries to collect aircraft that need essential maintenance.

This gave students a really good insight into engineering as a career and they were given valuable advice regarding the apprenticeship route.

Thank you, Baxter, for coming in!
