DISTRICT BASKETBALL CHAMPIONS

The Year 10 girls are District Basketball Champions once again!

This year’s tournament brought a slightly different format with the girls playing in a qualification group. Sunbury faced Bishop Wand and made it to District Final with a convincing win and performance.  As the 2018 District Champions, the pressure was on going into the finals where we faced Magna Carta. The first quarter was tightly fought with both teams sinking some baskets. Once the nerves begun to settle Sunbury showed some true quality, skill and outstanding teamwork to take a convincing lead.

The girls performed outstandingly and truly deserved to be DISTRICT CHAMPIONS 2019 with the game finishing 35-12.
