OXFORD v CAMBRIDGE VARSITY 2017

On Thursday 7th December 30 year 7 students went to the Rugby Varsity match between Oxford and Cambridge at Twickenham stadium. This was a highly anticipated event and the Rugby boys couldn’t wait for the game to start!

Upon arrival at the stadium, the students were in awe, as for many who attended the event this was their first time; they could not comprehend the size and scale of the stadium. This was then shortly followed by a visit to the England Rugby Store, where some of the boys picked up souvenirs to take home.

Their excitement then turned to the game itself, as students entered the stadium and found their seats and were lucky enough to be at the heart of the Oxford supporters stand (controversial, as some of the boys supported Cambridge!). The game then started and boy was it competitive. A fast and physical game gave Cambridge the lead and they never looked back, which game them their second consecutive victory.

Mr Bocking, Mr Brunsdon and Mr Lebihan would like to thank the boys for their brilliant behaviour and engagement when at the Rugby match and for representing Sunbury Manor School so well!
